What can the computer see that the eye cannot? Common problems found in Saddle Fit and Construction. Common problems found in saddle pads and/or blankets. Well documented in published research papers and white papers from leading equine veterinary schools, and quality saddle makers and manufacturers. Unless the saddle fitter, saddle maker or saddle manufacturer or retailer has an FSA System to check the fit of your saddle and/or pad(s), blanket(s). They cannot see these problems once the saddle is finished. These problems can cause injury, discomfort and poor performance. High Pressure / Pressure Points Amount of Pressure Uneven Pressure distribution? If the bars or panals have defects? Nails, screws and staples sticking out of the tree causing pressure points? Defects in saddle construction Defects in the rock and twist and fit of the Bars or Panels Uneven Panels or Flocking? Flocking that has developed hard spots? Twisted Bars or Panels? Shims, built up pads are they really needed or is there another cause? Is placement of Shims or built up pads correct? Are shims or built up pads causing other problems? Are Shims aiding the equal distrabution of pressure along the bars or panels? Shims increasing pressure? Mismatched bars? Bars or Panels different length on each side in the saddle? Cantle and/or Pomel off center? Gullet too wide or too narrow? Angles cut wrong/different angles on each side of the Gullet? Rigging unevenly installed ? Bridging pressure distribution ? Spine and Withers with high pressure? Pad or Blanket increasing pressure? Pad or blanket has developed hard spots?
