Research has found that and published paper from the AAEP has found that very few retailers know about saddle construction or fit. That both saddle manufacturers and some custom saddle makers do not check for problems in tree construction of the trees they received from the tree manufacturer.
What could the reasons be for their refusal to endorse or use the EquiScan System or Bare Tree Fitting? What do they know that they don't want you to know about saddle fit and saddle manufacturing?
After all, is not want we are looking for the comfort and performance of the horse or mule?
Here are a few examples of "WHY"
Do Retailers, Saddle Makers, Saddle Manufactures not want you to understand that FSA Systems like EquiScan? Have been used and accepted for over 50 years in the Human Medical Field. That FSA is used and accepted across in the World in manufacturing and testing of pressure mapping in thousands of applications as a diagnostic tool.
Western type saddles and saddle trees.
Could it be they know and understand that there is no way to tell for sure that a saddle fits the horse unless you use pressure mapping and/or Bare Tree Fitting?
Could it be that they know there are many defects in saddle trees and the EquiScan System will show many of those defects?
Could it be that they know there are hundreds of saddle trees given lbelsa like QH Bars, Arabian Bars, Gaited Horse Bars, Mule Bars, etc.? That one tree manufacturer may have as many labeled bars and many variations of those bars. That they have no knowledge of what size of bar, rock, twist, and length of the bars. All the label says it is a _______ Tree/Saddle.
Do they know how a flexible tree really works? Are they just listing to the manufactures sale pitch without any proven research? That flex tree does have and can cause problems with some horses.
Do they understand so-called treeless saddle, that they may be dealing with a modified platform of a saddle tree that does not look like a conventional saddle tree, but is still a platform that the saddle is built on?
Do the retailers and saddle makers they will lose a sale if they can't fit your horse?
English Type Saddle is a bit eeasierto fit with the eye.
They may still need adjustment of the flocking.
Is thelengtht of the panell really correct for your horse?
How is the flocking working, is it uneven, has hard spots.
Do retailers and saddle makers understand the correct placement of the rigging for each individual horse and how that rigging is placed on the saddle?
Do reatilers, saddle makers and saddle manufactures understand the relatationship of pads to saddle fit and they do not want you to know that relastionship? That the EquiScan (FSA) system can show that relationship.
Do retailers, saddle manufactures know that you can not pad away from poor saddle fit?
Do retailers and manufactures known and don't want you to know that pads can do cause pressure problems?
Shearing Forces of saddle and pad fit.
Do retailers and saddle makers and manufactures under stand the "shearing forces" at work with saddle and pads and do not want you to understand them?
After all is not want we are looking for is the comfort and preformance of the horse or mule?
